WHAT WE DO.....

Vision of Grace Transition Home 501c3 is a charitable non-profit service organization that provides homeless families in Montgomery, Alabama with shelter in a single family home since 2008. All utilities and expenses are paid by VOGTH, allowing families to save for the future.

We are committed to assisting local families with repositioning themselves back to a self-sustained life. Ninety-eight percent (98%) of our families are successful in reaching independence. We partner with other local organizations like Family Promise of Montgomery, Inc. to provide additional services such as financial planning and budgeting training, to ensure they understand the importance of money management and saving to deal with unexpected occurrences. Most importantly this prepares them for a smooth transition to their own home.

Families stay in our home an average of 4 to 5 months at no cost to them, with the exception of a nominal per month maintenance fee that begins at $25. Doing so gives them a firm footing on which to land, and become self-sustained again. Board members are seen here with children of one family assisted by our program. This was on our "back to school supplies giveaway day."



Give Them A Chance To Experience!

Children need an opportunity to grow and expand their minds. Schools provide this, but so should homes. Vision of Grace Transition Home has a yard, a space to play,
a neighborhood experience.



A Vision Realized!

Children Playing In the Tree at their Vision of Grace Home. When Ms. Sharpe received the vision to open this organization, she saw children playing in the yard. They went in her house and came out, when they came out they were different children.
This was the birth of the "transition home" concept for children.
